Well I can't see it well but my understanding is that no step can be broken in any way, no matter how small a knick may be-broken is broken.

Your understanding is correct. I put them under a microsope before I consider them FS. Can't tell about this coin--need a lot more blown up image.

I can't tell from the glare - is there a mint mark to the right of Monticello (the building, not the word)?

What do you mean mishandled and I believe it is a proof explain mishandled if you don't mind

no there is no mint mark

It appears to be showing some spots, finger prints and potentially other marks etc.
