I see part of the reverse legend. I don't see the letters you refer to, so the premise is in doubt. But if you see them, and you're sure you do, you could always send it in for grading.

If there's something on the rim, it can't be seen in darkness.  You would need to turn on the lights.

Seriously, I would love to help you out with this, but I can't see anything on the rim of that coin because it's in a shadow.  If you could turn it in a way that the light can show us what you're seeing, that would help.
