Counter struck 1820 Reales

2 posts in this topic

Common 8 reales 1820 struck several times with a semi circled die with 3 rays, Large H, Large Period, COLF, large period and 3 rays. The edges of the stamp are serrated so this was not a casual die, but one made specifically for identification. From the style of the rays, I would guess it is South or Central American.

Thank you for your message. Unfortunately, your question is not clear. I had one of our experts look at the picture but they were not familiar with the origin of the counter-stamp as this is not one of the more common ones. I have copied the link to our membership page if you would like to submit the coin for a proper evaluation.
