Hi, I have a question. I apologize in advance, as I am not the least bit numismatically savvy.  At all.  I Can anyone tell me is/are there some sort of error(s) on this penny?   -- as in letters on the front side, specifically I see an S by the nose and an L next to that, and also on the back some of the letters appear 'smudged'?  What is this called? Does it make the coin valuable at all?  Again, not a collector at all, Im trying to figure out whether to hang onto it or throw it in the bucket with the rest to be rolled. Thanks.

It's simply damaged. There is no mint error or variety.
