Error coin

i have, what i think, is an error coin but it has a little environmental damage but i still want it encapsulated. What is the process for that or is it automatically given details grading

Thank you for your question. Depending on the damage, the coin may receive a details grade.  I have copied the link to our details grading brochure. I would suggest submitting the coin to our conservation department before grading as they may be able to remove harmful residue and stabilize the surface of the coin.
