encapsulation date

Hi NGC,

An important aspect of buying NGC certified coins is knowing how long the coin has been encapsulated in the holder in order to guess-timate how stable the coin's condition is within the holder.  The longer the coin has been encapsulated, the more stable its condition tends to be.  Would NGC consider adding the encapsulation date to the 'Verify NGC Certification' webpage function?

I could not find this question, so let me apologize if it has already been asked and answered.

Thank you for your question. NGC plans to add this feature for copper coins in the future, but not for any other compositions. Per the NGC Guarantee, copper coin grades are guaranteed for 10 years.
