1941 Mercury Dime

This one is tough because parts of it look like it might be, but parts of it really look like strike doubling. For example, what I'm seeing at the date is definitely strike doubling.

...it's either 'ejection doubling' in the motto or a new die state of 'doubled die' with different characteristics that are published. Inconclucive, needs to be examined by an expert.

Got the expert Dr. Wiles to look.... his commentary was "You are seeing the metal flow lines from the late die state."  Now, next up, to find a specialist that agrees with what I want this coin to be.... Any takers?! :)

I take it then it 'is not' a doubled die, right?

The technical term for what he's calling it is "Die Deterioration Doubling." 

And no, if Wiles says its not a DDO, it's not a DDO.
