Coins in movies

2 posts in this topic

I picked up a recently released western to watch today and am amazed at how bad it is. It is such a low budget film that their props aren't even close to being in the correct time period. It reminds me of the Chinese films that even the voices aren't synced properly. The time period was during the civil war and the decade that followed. Most of it took place in 1875. The sheriff's badge was a product of the 1970s, or there-abouts, and during the poker game they were using peace dollars.

What is the worst use of coins in a movie that you watched?

I was watching a western show on TV yesterday and it was actually a reasonable use, though a little off.  I believe it was set in the late 1800s, but they were using early 20th century large size nationals, but at least they were legitimate large size nationals!
