Thoughts about recent Numismatist article regarding Brule Sioux Chief Hollow Horn Bear as the depicted Indian on BLP gold coins

The Bela Lyon Pratt gold quarter eagle and half eagles are perhaps my favorite pre-33 US gold designs.  I thought the recent article about the identity of the model for the design was interesting.  I was curious if our resident coin academics had any additional thoughts or comments about it.

Thanks

I read the article once only, but came away wondering: what was the connection with BLP and Hollow Horn Bear? It seems like the evidence was pretty weak, very circumstantial and far from conclusive. I've already donated my copy to the local library, so I can't reread it to see if I'm being fair to the author. What did I miss?  Thanks.
