Taking a break - Isle of Man

4 posts in this topic

I've been meaning to post more about circulating Isle of Man coins, but have been tied up. So until I find some time - here is a new purchase. Not sure why I bought it - just wanted to see it in hand I guess.

Excuse my ignorance, what mint produces Isle of Man coinage. Some of their designs are very well done.

Pobjoy Mint in England used to Mint Isle of Man Coins.

But from April 2017 the Tower Mint in London will do so (at least that's what I read a few months back).

The Royal Mint of England before Pobjoy started in the early 1970s and the Royal Mint of Canada issued some commemorative for the IOM.
