Ancient coin certification/encapsulation question

3 posts in this topic

Hi There,

I was wondering the dimension/weight limits for Ancient coin encapsulation?  I have an ancient Ptolemy bronze which I estimate to be over 100 grams and AE42 at least.   Could this be accommodated with a double wide holder? Thanks.

Thank you for your question. Our standard sized holder can accommodate a coin up to 45mm in diameter. If the coin is within this range but thicker than normal we may use a double ($5 additional fee) or triple thick holder ($10 additional fee). If the coin is over 45mm we will use an oversized holder which is a $25 fee. The oversized holder is also made in double and triple thick as well.
