QUESTION:

Where were the first Sacagawea dollars released into general circulation?

ANSWER:

Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club stores would give Sacagawea dollars in change starting in January 2000.

Note the Cheerios cereal release was a specially packaged prize that only 1 in 2,000 boxes would contain and not a general release.
