7070 Type Set Commemoratives??

I notice that the $1 Commemorative slot is only for 1983-Present. Does that mean that a Lafayette $1 can't get credit in that slot? Thanks in advance.

I wish the 7070 registry set on here would include spots for commemorative half dollars, similar to what you see in the Dansco 7070 albums.

Thanks for the question. Since the Lafayette dollar was minted on December 14, 1899, then no, it wouldn't be eligible for a slot that is for modern coins.

The 7070 Dansco album includes a few slots for representative commemorative halves, but they are not properly part of the set. This is why they don't appear in the Registry Set you mention. Thanks.
