Hello and thanks for your interest. I assume you are referring to this set:

Category: American Eagles & Bullion Coins
Set Name: 2015 Eagles Set, Mint State

The narrow reeds variety is eligible in the existing slot here: 2015 G$5.

How do I list both a narrow reeds variety and normal reeds for 2015. It only allows either one to be listed but not both varietys in my collection.

Hello,

For the Canada Ruler Type sets NGC has Victoria, the two Georges, and Elizabeth.  Why don't we have the Edward Ruler set?  Can we get that added?

Thank you.

Hello.

Thanks for your request. The team will research this and send you an email when a decision has been reached.

Hello and thank for your interest. These minor varieties do not have separate slots. You may create duplicate registry sets if you wish to display both.

Due to the “Gold Rush”, which started in 1848, gold became a LOT more plentiful, and as a result, dropped in value. But our coins made of silver and gold required specified amounts of the metal (90% silver), with the weights of the coins tied to the prior very steady values of gold and silver. With the value of gold dropping, the value of silver rose, and the value of the amount of silver in our coins became worth more than the face value of our coins. As such, people were hoarding silver coins and not spending them.

The U.S. government then passed a law in February 1853 reducing the weight and silver content of our silver coins (Half Dime through the Half Dollar). However, the law provided an exception for the Dollar coin to not be reduced in size or weight. To “alert” the public of the reduced amount of silver in the new coins (so people would spend the coins and not hoard them), the legislation called for arrows to be placed on all new, reduced silver coins. Hence the arrows on coins started in 1853. Although the weight and silver content remained unchanged after 1855, it was decided to remove the arrows starting with 1856 coinage since the public knew the silver content remained reduced.

This long-winded but very interesting story is the reason for my request to have you create a new Registry Type Set - a four coin denomination design set of the new coins with arrows, ranging from 1853 - 1855 - a Half Dime, Dime, Quarter, and Half Dollar.

My cert numbers are PCGS 39890171, 25665852, 10007282, and 39425230.

Please advise.

Thanks.

Hi Ali,

I have a request for the category Chile Second Reform Coinage.  NGC currently has competitive sets for the complete 5 and 10 Pesos denominations, including both the Libertad designs and the O'Higgins designs which succeeded the Libertad designs in 1990.  I was wondering if it would be possible to make competitive sets for both the 5 and 10 pesos that are just the Libertad designs and exclude the O'Higgins designs.  The coins that would be included are the following:

5 Pesos:

KM# 209:

1976, 1977, 1978, 1980

KM# 217:

1981, 1982, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990 KM #217

KM#s 229 and 232 would be excluded from the proposed set

10 Pesos:

KM #210:

1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980

KM #218:

1981, 1982, 1984, 1985, 1986 Wide Date, 1986 Narrow Date, 1987, 1988, 1989 and 1990 KM 218.3

KM #'s 228.1 and 228.2 would be excluded from the proposed set.

I thank you for your kind time and attention to this request!!
