The warship featured on the back of the series 1918 $2 Federal Reserve Bank note is known as the "Battleship Deuce" and was patterned on the U.S. battelship New York that saw active duty in the first World War.

The USS New York. After saving Britain and France it was used as a propaganda message at the end of WWI to signify that the United States was ready, willing and able to defend Europe which we did just over 20 years later
