MarkFeld 12,796 posts Report post Posted May 1, 2012 My guess, based on the image, is MS64 and a value of approximately $225.
TomB 11,432 posts Report post Posted May 1, 2012 Maybe it is just the way the images appear on my monitor or simply my interpretation of how I think the coin would appear in-hand, but I don't like the obverse color.

jgrinz 6,656 posts Report post Posted May 1, 2012 MInt Mark looks funny ... maybe just lighting However the color does not look right to me either especially where the toning cuts off at the 2 then restarts again $250 with color additional if its real
kryptonitecomics 8,304 posts Report post Posted May 1, 2012 I think $200 to $225 sounds reasonable unless it's housed in say a PCGS rattler or NGC no line fatty and then you might get closer to $250 for it since folks will pay up a bit for older plastic. JStull 590 posts Report post Posted May 1, 2012 Not my series just bought it on a whim. What should I have paid? Coin looks not bad, maybe 63, could go 64, but I think 63 is more likely. These can run anywhere between $190 and $235, and if slabbed, maybe more. I like the rainbow tone from 2 - 5 o'clock.

copper toning 1,272 posts Report post Posted May 1, 2012 It is the lighting the mm looks fine. The color is a little nicer in hand I am sure it would holder just no good reason for it. Thanks for the help everyone I gave $200 so I should be ok.
BillJones 10,737 posts Report post Posted May 1, 2012 The coin looks like an MS-63 to me, but sometimes graders soften up their standards when they see Carson City Morgan for whatever reason. I'd pay no more than MS-63 money.
