I know everyone is busy, so thank you very much for taking time to look at my latest creation.

A special thank you to Thane. I will be adding the new Laughing Gull pic as soon as I stop writing this.

Always a good thing when a 41 year old man can feel like 10 again!

Thanks again,

Brett

Rooster---- Seems you have some great guys helping you out on that new set of yours. I have been working pretty hard lately but still keeping up with everybody.

I have a mess of chickens--Another Hobby. One rooster that is outside the hen house is named "Rooster Cogburn". He is Gold,Brown,White and Red feathered. I went in the hen house the other day and a very large white rooster I have was eating my darn eggs. I punched him across the pen and then kicked his rear end out.

When Rooster Cogburn got sight of him the fight was on. That darn white rooster was red when old Cogburn was finished with him. He sure took care of business for me.

Not really a coin journal but who else can I laugh with lately??

Chickens for a hobby? You rock!!!

My wife and I are more the anti-Whole Foods-find-your-own-CSA-farm folks type, and we've dreamed of owning chickens so we wouldn't get chiggers ... and of course we've dreamed of owning a goat so we wouldn't have to mow.

City ordinances are of course a problem. If you had two roosters, I take it you don't live in city limits, Rick??

No I don't live in the city limits. But I have a good one for you---

I built a real nice 2 story house in Orlando Fla. back in the days for a Surgeon Specialist and his wife. She wanted chickens at the new house which would have a barn when finished so she raised the chicks in a tub in her RITZY rented apartment. Well the house was almost ready and the barn was so the grown hens now got moved to the property.

A few days later they came out and found that a wild cat had ripped the rear out of a hen. Of course me I would just finish the kill but the woman made him take that dern chicken to work and sew up its 4ss. We gave him heck about it untill we were finished.

The things city folk think of----HMMM

P.S.----Sorry to hear about your chiggers bud. Added some new hens this year -I have 8 hens that lay blue-green eggs----(pretty cool mixed with the brown and white eggs).

Ahh man, you guys rock! Okay I got a chicken or I guess a rooster story to share. Out west here bouts we have 4th of July event called " The Rooster Crow". You get your rooster to crow as many times as you can in a prescribed amount of time, most crows wins! Anyway, my wife's rooster, "Crow Daddy", blew away the completion one year and won 1st place, I mean we're talking major bragging rights for a whole year, baby! Well, got home later the next day and still celebrating, going about getting "Crow Daddy" situated and unpacking, and the wife went to park the truck and ran over that rooster, still in his cage, never had a chance, poor old Crow Daddy crowed his last that weekend, but it was the best!

City limits, what's that.......?
