help with 1935 Buffalo PLEASE!!

2 posts in this topic

I'll try to make this quick......I have a 1935 Buffalo that has a dot above the A in STATES....clear seperation between rim, dot, and A. The dot is raised, and appears as everything else the die produced. Any idea as to what this is??? Is it a variety or something??? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This could be the result of a rust pit in the die or a particle of debris being trapped between the die and planchet. In either case, it is of curiosity value only and would not carry a premium.
