1804 Half Cent -- What would you grade it?

I'm in the same boat as Mr. Hoard. It has too much damage and would just come back in a details holder. Not worth too much as it is, too much environmental damage and it's been harshly cleaned afterward. As stated above, just enjoy a super cool coin that you can hold in your hand.

VG sharpness, corroded and cleaned, taking the net grade and price to Good-4 IMO. The die variety is Cohen variety is C-11, Plain 4, stems, which is a slightly scarcer one with an R-3 rating. Given the condition that will not add any thing to the value.

Actually, that's a C-1. The crescent die break on the reverse gives it away. The "4" in the date is too high to be the plain 4 too.

Your are right correct. It's been a while since I've collected these.
