Q. Tom Cat, Husky, Wild Dog, Ordain, & Toy Horse are the names associated with what currencies issues? Name the countries and type of issue?

These were the ww2 classified code names for allied production of

Husky, Allied Military Lire (italy),

Tom Cat, Allied Military Francs (france),

Wild Dog,Allied Military Marks (german),

Ordain Allied Military Schillings (austria),

Toy Horse, Allied Military Yen (japan)

World War II classified code names for some invasions which also included injection of counterfeit/supplemental currencies.

 

Tom Cat == French Francs

Husky == Invasion of Sicily, Italy and Lire

Wild Dog == Germany, Marks

Ordain == Invasion of Austria, Schillings

Toy Horse == Japanese Yen

I believe all those names are code from WWII. They are code names for countries. The soldiers used AMC, or Allied Military Currency instead of our money.

Italy = Husky

France = Tom Cat

Germany = Wild Dog

Austria = Ordain

Japan = Toy horse

 

As far as I know, AMC was in token form.
