Currently the NGC Registry includes 2,930 different competitive set definitions, and we want to add many hundreds more. Some of you have expressed frustration about the time that it has taken us to add new sets, so we’re going to focus exclusively on creating the sets that you’ve requested.

 

This is the current list of requested sets as of July 5, 2011. If you’d like to request more sets or have questions or comments, post them here.

Scott, I sent a request to Amy a couple of weeks ago for a silver panda 1oz medal set. I also sent her a list of the coins I think should be included. I'm not thrilled with the concept of the miscellaneous silver panda set you have listed as a suggestion if it contains both medals and actual coins. imo a 5Y commemorative coin doesn't have much in common with the medals that don't have a demonination.

Not sure if I need to put these requests as a New Topic or a reply to the Registry Set Request topic so I have put it in both places. I will delete the wrong one once I know which is correct.

 

I have recently starting collecting and have started with 1936-1942 Proofs with the most commen variaties. I have found a 1938 Nickel Proof set that includes the 40-Rev-38 and 39-Rev-40 which are prevelent, but, there doesn't seem to be one that includes the 1941Walking Half No Initials(No "AW"). If that could be added to the 1936-1942 Walking Half proofs that would be ideal.

 

Also with the Nickels I see you have a 1913-1916 Buffalo Set I would like to see a 1936-1937 Buffalo Proof Set. It would only be one less coin.

I would like to see a set for old mints like New Orleans and Carson City. One set for all O mint marks and another for all CC mint marks.

It would be nice to have type sets based on branch mints. For instance, New Orleans could have a set with the silver 3-cent piece, 1/2 dime, dime, quarter, half dollar, dollar, gold dollar, quarter eagle, three dollar gold piece, half eagle, eagle and double eagle. Varieties could be seated liberty, Morgan dollars, Barber coins, etc. A set like this could be replicated for the other branch mints also. Thanks for your consideration.

Would be nice to have "Proof Australia sovereigns" too. The 2005 issue in PF (7500 minted), the 2009 and 2010 P mint proofs as well which only have 2500 mintage

I see that someone has asked for a registry set for Iceland's 1930 commemorative 2,5,10 Kronur medals. I would very much love to see more registry sets for Iceland in these categories if possible.

There is so little known about Icelandic coinage and to me and others in the coin collecting community would very much like to see sets from Iceland. I have many coins from Iceland from all of the above sets mentioned and many if not almost all of them have been graded by NGC, That I have submitted to you for grading or will be graded buy NGC in the near future. The sad thing about collecting these coins is that in MS-60 and up they are so hard to find that are worth spending the money to have them graded by any TPG company. I have spent the last 8 years trying to complete the first set mentioned above (The Kingdom Era) with only one coin needed to finish this wonderful rare and very hard to put together set and if any set from Iceland that would be worth making a registery set for would be the Kindom Set.

I will take a stab a few sets that are already done but are missing coins

 

France:

1- Gold 20F, 1871-1898 (Angel), Circulation Issue.

You are actually missing the 2 key angels (1848 and 1849)

 

2-Gold 20 Francs, Napoleon I, 1802-1815, Circulation Issue

Here you are missing and enormous number of coins. It is debatable if the missing coins should be under France or Italy or Germany, but 20 francs gold with the mug of the emperor or one of his brother are legion, and under the rather broad header you choose all the below mentionned would apply.

Well as you see there is kind of a general theme to all the above which is 20Francs Gold Metric Napoleon or Latin Union Monetary system

Thank you very much for coming up with the three Icelandic sets I asked for...But I see that you broke down all the coins in each main category to a subcategories for each main categories such as Kingdom and the Republic which is fine for people that only collect certain types of coins from each of the sub-categories. If I can make a suggestion that you group all the coins from the Kingdom Era and the Republic in to a complete set of each individual Era's to form sets that includes all coins from each Era and still have the sub-categories for people that only wish to form a set from each type coin like the 1 Krona or 2 Kronur, 25 Aurar or 5 Aurar,etc ,etc. I have a few other concerns about the coins you have listed in the sub-categories but I will email those concerns to you. Would you please tell me to whom I need to speak to about those other concerns and how they can be reached.

After reading my last post here I'm not sure if you understand what I meant So I'm going to try again.

 

If you can group all the Icelandic coins from the Kingdom Era 1922 to 1942 as one set.

All the 1 Eyrir, 2 Aurar, 5, 10, 25, 1 Krona, 2 Kronur, etc, etc into one competitive set and the same for Icelandic Republic set as well and maybe the Nation set to.

Wow, Can't thank the powers that be for listing the Ireland Republic sets. I got my coins listed right away. Great job. Now, I don't want to get greedy but it sure would be nice to get the farthing and six pence sets listed. And, not to get real greedy but it would be outstanding if the 10 shilling in proof and mint state set is listed. Oh ya, how about the 1928 proof set being combined into the others sets or maybe a set of thier own. If all that could be done all of the republic coins to the decimel coinage would be listed.
