One coin comes immediately to mind, the 1848 Quarter Eagle, counter stamped "CAL", our first comemmorative coin. The second and third are also comemmoratives, the 1921 Alabama 2X2, and the 1921 Missouri 2*4.

Of course my second and third choices may very well be way off base.

Brasher Doubloon, 1848 CAL. quarter eagle, 1815 & 1825 E & L bust quarters. (I'm not sure about the quartes but I couldn't think of another possiblity.)

Interesting question, but I count more than three:

1815 25c ("E" and "L" stamps)

1825 25c ("L" stamp only, so far)

1825/3 25c ("E" and "L" stamps)

1848 "CAL." $2.50

1921 Missouri 2*4

I guess if you're looking for only 3, then you're not counting the mint-applied 2*4 as a "real" counterstamp on the Missouri, and you're grouping the 25c varieties by date? I guess you don't certify the Cleveland or Stone Mountain counterstamps either? For my official submission, I guess I'll go with:

1815 25c

1825 25c

1848 $2.50
