First up is this 1899 (P) Barber quarter. I think it's an (F)

cause of the rim wear. Appreciate any thoughts.

Thanks Toto

I grade both coins Good-6, and the 1899 is a half dollar ;)

Thanks Coinman and Physicsfan.

I'm a little confused by the grading thing.

I looked at the Numis Media Price Guide which

doesn't have anything between G and VG

Does this mean it is valued as a G?

I looked at this grading system.

http://coins.about.com/od/coingrading/qt/coin_grading101.htm

Is it a reasonable grading system?

Lastly, does anyone know why the pictures don't show

in my post, just the links but show up on Coinman's post?

Any help or thoughts appreciated.

Toto

shortround

If I may go out a bit on a limb, use Numismedia as a VERY rough guide only. In my experience (and I hope others will chime in with their experiences) Numismedia collector values tend to be high and don't truly reflect the actual value of the coins as a whole. Probably a million exceptions but when I check Numismedia, I do it with a grain...no...a whole package of salt.
