How can I tell if my NGC holder has been tampered with? I just received a couple of NGC graded coins through Ebay from dealers who have 1000 sales or more. But the coin holder appears as if it were burnt shut in a couple of areas. Does this happen? I am new to collecting and I'm am afraid I may have paid a premium price for a coin that wasn't the original coin in the holder. Can somebody answer this for me? Also - is there a way I can enter the number on the coin capsule and see that the coin is really registered? I hope these aren't dumb questions, but they probably are. Thank you so much.
