Like the proof - must have been the spots & fingerprint on the obverse the caused the downgrade. Are there any hairlines or other marks that aren't visible in the pics?

Thanks for the reception, on the PF62 there are some dings under the toning that you can see with just a little magnification and good lighting. But from a foot away it looks great, I paid about PF60 price for it so I'm quite pleased. Normally I collect Classic Commemoratives, but just branched out to try to put together a 20th Proof Type Set.

most coins I think look pretty sad when you get to the grades around F12-VF20 range........in my opinion, an original Barber half is an attractive coin in this grade range...

I drool all over my keyboard everytime I see that coin.

 

I hope more people would appreciate the look of that coin

and refrain from dipping out their coins. [ ie: the 1895 I posted

above; its a nice coin, but thankfully it retained all of its

original luster.]
