1950 National Capital Sesquicentennial NGC MS65 SCD

I've been on the look out for a nice US Mint 1950 National Capital Sesquicentennial SCD for a while so I was excited when I found a NGC MS65 on eBay. However, I wasn't so excited when I saw the reverse.

Looks like a rim ding at 10 o'clock.

Looks like a pretty serious ding for a 65. Still, if it is really rare and hard to find, I could overlook something like that. Otherwise, just wait for the next one.

My impression is also the rim ding is pretty serious. I would not have expected that to be slabbed.

 

I'm going to pass and wait for a better example.
