  1. I hit the same wrong button when I replied to you as I did when replying to Alex in PA. I am so sorry it seemed as though I was not responding. I made lots of good friends here and am glad to be back. Nice to meet you and look forward to chatting with you 🙂
  2. Thank you! It has been so long since I'd commented, I'd almost forgotten how to reply, lol. I sent you a reply yesterday (or thought I sent it) , but didn't see it today and was quite confused... I don't have time to reply the long one from yesterday, but it is good to be back and hear from you as well!
  3. Thank you for this chart! Very handy for this ole girl!
  4. Hello there! I also look forward to chatting with you! You have a great day as well!
  5. Hey y'all!! It has been a hot minute since I have been here. I have really missed y'all though. I am glad to have a few minutes to take a break from work. Being the overthinker I am, I am doubting myself, so I am asking my expert friends... There are two different coins, both 1970S. I have looked at them so much that everything is a blur. I know the pics are not the best, but hopefully you can tell if they are both large dates. Thank you and I hope everyone has been doing great! I have missed all of you and hopefully work will slow down after Christmas and I can be more involved again.
  6. Well, I must say that I am a little confused, oops, I mean maybe YOU are. Neither of the instances you are complaining about were aimed at you. I think maybe you just got aggravated because you weren't told what you wanted to hear. I am sorry for your disappointment, but rudeness, as well as ungratefulness, is an even bigger disappointment to me. It describes your character and not just your lack of knowledge. I am not claiming to know anything about the coins, but I do know that these people are willing to offer their time, knowledge, and expertise to help you and all you can do is cuss and flip them off. That is very becoming of a lady.
  7. Congratulations!! I'd love to run into someone like that. Maybe one day!
  8. Hoghead, you can bet I am coming someday. I was just talking about it yesterday. I hope we are still welcome.
  9. My - - I, personally, just took his post to be directed at people who come here trolling and wasting everyone's time. Which is essentially what he was doing in his own fancy QA way. As well as telling them what they are told each and every time they do such... Send it in if you want, but it is gonna cost you and the coin isn't gonna be worth anymore just because it is slabbed. That was my take on it, but that is just my . I am super happy that, in my absence, things haven't changed. 😉 I love being a part of a "family" whose members have such diverse thoughts. It can only make one wiser.
  10. You explained this in a way anyone could understand the process. I have read and been told by several people and I know now, but this was a great explanation. Kudos!
  11. I'm sorry, my forum friends , I got to this one before any of you did. I know you are disappointed. Yes! It is surely worth sending in to be graded IF it is a 2015 5 cents struck on a foreign planchet and you are wanting to pay for it. But you should most definitely verify your details beforehand.
  12. Thank you and thanks for the heads up 😊. Luckily, I didn't pay up for the 17.😉
  13. You know what? I needed to hear that right at this moment for another aspect of my life. Thank you! It is absolutely the right quote I've been looking for. 👍
  14. Never say never... I told myself I would never "buy" a coin, at least not for more than face value anyway. I would only collect those that I found or was given. (Thank you to all of you who have been so giving. I really, really am thankful to have such generous and thoughtful friends.) That notion held true until I walked into a coin shop. I went in to get some 2x2s (I know there are a few of you probably clapping right now ) and came out with several coins as well. 🤦🏼‍♀️ And one of the most disturbing things about it was that I couldn't wait to go back. So, very soon after my first trip, came another. I was definitely greeted with a big smile my second trip and the third trip was just as fulfilling. 🤣 Anyway, so I never did post any of them. I'll not even try to post them all, just a couple of my favorites. None are even remotely as fancy as what is normally posted here, but I don't care. I like them and that's all that matters. 😉 Pennies, especially the deep brown ones, are my favorite, but I just get what I like, whatever it may be, at that particular moment. (I'll make a different thread for each)
