  1. I am very new to coin collecting. I work at Walmart, and I've started looking for wheat pennies as I drop the tills at night. I stumbled across a 1942 wheat penny, but it doesn't look like any other 1940's pennies I've seen. I did a little research, and I found on the NGC website where someone had found a 1942/43 wheat penny that had been printed on the planchet used for the Netherlands 25 cent coins. They look very similar, but again, I'm brand new at all of this. I don't really want to waste the money sending in this penny if it's just an off colored penny. Any insight or comments are welcome. Thank you in advance.
