  1. Just wondering when NGC updates the online coin prices. The 2009 cents haven't been done since July 2017. Thanks, Ron
  2. Thank you for the information and quick reply. I am pretty new at collecting and knowing there is a resource to answer these kind of questions takes a lot of the stress out of it.
  3. I recently bought several rolls of mint 1996 Kennedy half dollars. When I received the shipment one of the rolls was broken. At first glace I thought that some hade gotten scratched but upon looking closer I find that all of them have an identical mark. I have two rolls of these and wonder if they aren't an unrecognized variety. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Thanks for the feedback. When I say I am new to coin collecting I am not kidding. Been at it for three months now. I have a masters in archaeology and understand how complex this subject can be. Ancient pottery is worse. Still I am a rank amateur in coins. Thought this would be the best place to get good info. It is. Thanks to those who helped. I had never heard of replating of these coins before. Enjoyed researching it. Thanks KKK, Greenstang and Just Bob. Thanks, Ron
  5. What does that mean and what does it have to do with my question?
  6. That is not my picture or coin! What does that have to do with my question?
  7. Thanks for the info. I will have to look up replating.
  8. Hello All, Being new to coin collecting I find that I have LOTS of questions. Most I can find answers to on the internet. Sometimes though I find little or nothing. Without the input of you folks there would be a distinct lack of knowledge. Thanks in advance. My question is about these steel cents. Are they delams? Should I keep them? Seem to have a number of them. this a common problem? Thanks Again, Ron
  9. Bob, Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. Think I am going to like coin collecting!
  10. Thanks Just Bob, I thought it was something like that. Is it worth anything? Going t keep in collection just because it is unusual and pretty. Ron
  11. Hello All, I recently purchased a half dime that appears to have an error. Being new to collecting I don't know if it is worth keeping, getting graded, or giving to the grandkids to play with. Any help is appreciated. Error is obvious on reverse with lines by the H in half and other by the m. Pictures aren't very good but the best I could get. Thanks, Ron
