  1. A second area to look at is the bottom of the 3, see how a genuine 3/2 has a bit of extra metal. that is lacking in your coin.
  2. Unless you think that cent is worth about $200.00, then no, it is not worth getting graded. Being less than .5g underweight does not make it collectible.
  3. Does not appear to be a coin, more like a token or medallion. Perhaps someone else can identify it. Also chop marks are almost impossible to identify as there are hundreds if not thousands of different ones out there.
  4. I have seen that rippled effect on a blowtorched cent. You have to keep the torch moving. in order to not melt the copper. It would also be damage, not an error.
  5. Looks like your 2 for 2 Hinkle. Another good find.
  6. Agree with the 1807 being a fake. As stated, a clear photo of both sides of the 1870 will be required but if it has no motto, then it also is a fake as the last year for the No Motto was 1865
  7. It is damage, that would have had to happen after it left the mint.
  8. Welcome to the Chat Board First, that is a Large Date 1982. Also those marks are not doubling, they look like they have taken a hit displacing the metal which would make it damage.
  9. Welcome to the Chat Board This is the Forum for buying and selling coins. If you are selling, please follow the instructions posted under “ Coin Marketplace Guidelines”
  10. Looking on eBay for 1879 Morgan’s in similar condition, they are going for $30-40.00. There were nearly 15 million struck so quit common unless in higher grades.
  11. Then go ahead and get it certified and let us know the results. Sandon has supplied you with instructions and cost to get it graded.
  12. I was going to admonish you for holding the coin in your hand but seeing it is a counterfeit, lit doesn’t really matter now. Date is wrong, Mint Mark too big and in wrong location.
  13. Welcome to the forum Where do you see doubling? All I see are regular business strikes with no sign of doubling anywhere.
  14. Unusual to find even in Canada silver in change. The 1966 quarter would be 80% silver
  15. Don’t forget there is a mint tolerance of .19g so yours is still within tolerance.
  16. I think “erosion around the mintmark” would be correct.
  17. Welcome to the forum Those are known as counterstamps, they have been added for some reason after the coin has left the mint. Normally random counterstamps do not add any value to the coin as they could have been added anytime and anyone can do the same thing
  18. Welcome to the forum This is the section for registered sets. Please use the Newbie Forum for further posts. Before anyone can help, we will require a clear photo of both sides of each coin you have a question about. To avoid confusion, only one coin per post please. Also a clear explanation of what you want to know about each coin. Looking forward to seeing your pictures.
  19. A die clash would be raised and I don’t really see that on your coin. There might be a bit ghosting though.
