  1. This is so cool, it happening on obverse and reverse of coin. Of course, like I said long time ago, I was going to find something cool but really bad circulated. Extra liberty, and 2 on obverse. Then alot going on on reverse.
  2. Hi Bob, it does have that copper band aroundthe edge. Just wanted to be sure. Thanks
  3. Thanks guys, I was thinking 40% silver copper clad vs copper nickel clad. I was searching on line and was kinda going by this in the pic.
  4. What would be the weight tolerance for silver? The normal weight for a copper clad half dollar is 11.34gr and a copper clad silver is 11.50gr. Just curious, when weighing this coin it jumps from 11.47gr to 11.49gr. Any advice would be appreciated thanks.
  5. Would this be MD? It almost looks like it was gouge by something. But the rest of the side on top of Monticello dome is somewhat shifted.
  6. Here's this coin missing the bars on Monticello. Had this coin for quite some time ,didn't know this until a day ago. Pretty cool.
  7. It's not a MS64 is it? I know nothing about grading, but this coin is beat up. The only thing I know is the grade gets knocked down for every nick, scratch, and other hits. Besides everything going on with this coin, I would have not got that grade. (IMOP) interesting
  8. Hoopster, don't mess up my fun bud. Ahahahah, just joking. I hear where you coming from. It should be stated as what the real error is, and then move on. Real collector's know the legit way to refer an error or other information on coins. Called professional way of terms.
  9. Thought this was awesome. Couldn't find any struck through on line for a 2017. The coin is a little beat up but ok to add to my error collection.
  10. Would this be a delamination? If not what could be going on in that area between the R and I. Interesting how I go back and check my collected items. Something always new popping up. Lol
  11. Sorry JP, yeah if there was one of these found it would be new. I don't think alot of people know about the large "FG" on the 1973 penny's. Came across this information a couple months ago. It had me pull out my bag of 72s, 73s 74s , and my albums to see if I got lucky by having one lol.
  12. Don't think this is new but , the 72, 73, and 74 are all three different sized "FG". Just curious with the 1988 with 89 reverse that it would be possible with the 1973s. It would be really cool to find one of those. But would be unlikely.
  13. Thanks guys, has anyone been watching for the 1972 penny with a 73 reverse or a. 73 with a 74 reverse or 74 with 73 reverse. Just asking because the 1973 penny was the only year they came out with the large "FG". I've been keeping a close eye out for something like that. Never know with all these errors going on. thanks.
  14. Thought I would show this also, the "H" and "L" is missing in hall. Pretty awesome to come across stuff like this. It helps me spell better lol.
  15. I've been searching up lamination/delamination and die cracks. I hope I'm right by saying this would be a lamination. It's taking place through the right side of memorial, "A" in states, and last "A" in america.
  16. Thank you guys, appreciate the help. Going through a bunch of different stuff that I have collected.
  17. This would be over polishing right, or did it just not strike well. The error is taking place in few of the windows on the building. Thanks
  18. Thought I would bring this thread back to show off my Creepy Lincoln's. Happy Halloween everyone.
  19. Thanks Moxie15, and JP. I've been working on this coin for a couple of days, this is the best I can do and it changed my thinking on this. Now in this pic by angling it looks like maybe lamination or it took a hit. Looks like the plating is peeling. Whatevers it is , it's Going from pillar through the column. Hmmm
  20. Pretty cool to find, I'm thinking that it's a die clash happening on his nose. Also looks like it had its share of some tpye of acid on the reverse.
  21. Not sure if this is a bubble blister as it's zinc. I'm thinking die chip. Very odd that it's happening in the memorial where Lincoln's sitting. Just looking at a few proof sets and this one caught my attention.
