  1. Thanks greenstang, I was thinking that to. I'll post the President I have, but don't know if it's doubling or what it is. The errors on that coin is confusing, I have no clue. But I like doing research on these, I learn a couple things new that I didn't know before.
  2. Hello, Hello just wanting to do a little research on this coin before I posted it. So I came up with it being a die clash. I think I'm right on this one also. Any thoughts would be great thanks. It would be over the S of epluribus.
  3. Here's a another one that appears to be doubling on the thumb. I thought this was pretty cool also. I've been wanting to find one of these.
  4. Hi again, so I happen to get the five coin 2009 coin collection. So going over them I found doubling on the tree. to make sure, I was going through my other 2009s and can't find anything like this one. There's also no errors I have found searching on line on this particular coin. Hmmm
  5. Thought I would share this one also. At first I thought that was a die crack going through ONE CENT, but after research it's the top of Lincoln's head. And then die clash in the column next to Lincoln. Also die chips in the A of America and on the bottom left side of the memorial. On the obverse there's a die clash between Lincoln and the MM to the 0 in date. Very interesting coin. I love coin roll hunting.
  6. Hi bob, I've been pulling Philadelphia and Denver 2015s out and still nothing to compare to that coin. Greenstang is right, the tip on the one has taken a hit. I'll just put it to the side to compare when I find 2015s. Also true need to crop and aligned to compare side-by-side. Thanks
  7. Thanks guys, I just wanted to add , when putting a line over and under the date especially the skinnier date, that 1 is higher then the 5. But the fatter date is even all the way across. Idk I might be wrong, but this is a cool piece. I hope I explained that good enough lol. Maybe you guys have the right tools to kind of matching the level of the date. Hmmm
  8. Hi everyone, came across these penny's and been looking at them for the pass couple of days. Idk if I'm investigating these to much or I'm just confused. One date looks odd then the other. For some reason the two dates don't match up correctly and one's fatter and the other is skinny. Plus the bottom tip of the 5 is pointed and other is flat tip. Thought I would share, but I'm still learning to figure these out. Very interesting, any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  9. Thanks DWLange, back to looking for the real doubling.
  10. Hello, so I'm still waiting on my cherry pickers guide. But I can't wait no more, thought I would show this and see what your thoughts would be. I'm not understanding these kind of double dies . I'm looking at variety vista ,but don't know what I'm looking for. To me i don't see it. But I took the best pics I can and hopefully someone can help me understand more. All's I'm saying I look for the doubling, doubling. Not something that you have to see through a scope. I'm thinking it's a DDO 001. Thanks
  11. That's funny, when you find something, like especially in cases. You literally have to turn the case upside down just to get the right angle, to make sure its there like it supposed to be lol.
  12. Sorry, doing some different angle looks, it's there but barely. So I did the best I can to show in the pic that it's somewhat a full S.
  13. Hi everyone, does anyone know what this is caused by. I'm wanting to say a grease die, but not for sure. Hmmm. Any thoughts on this dime would help. Thanks.
  14. Hi again, this one has me baffled. Don't know what caused this to the lettering. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  15. Hello everyone, was going through some of my sets I inquired for the pass couple of days and found this. Hopefully my pics does justice lol. You can see it under the flag and also coming up from the ground next to the flagpole. Pretty interesting.
  16. Right! That's funny. I would hope it got passed down in my family that long.
  17. So I think this is pretty cool, but not really into silver dollar's. I like this though and wondering , when the time comes is it better to get these in proof or business strike. I'm probably going to go ahead and splurge and get these. Just curios what you're thoughts might be on this. Thanks
  18. Hi greenstang, your mentioning a die break. Are talking about and seeing it between the two wings. If it is, I'm thinking it took a hit. Because in hand it looks like a deep scratch.
  19. Would this be considered a die chip, because something like that I would think it was probably intentionality done. It's close to the tip of the feathers.
  20. Thanks bsshog40, I got some good info on that link.
  21. Ahahahah, it took alot of talent. I'll be sure not to ever do that again.
  22. Hello everybody, I'm just wanting a bit of history on this coin. For some reason I can't get into the history of it. Just want's to talk about, you know conditions ,mintage ect. I'm just wondering how could they have made a tiny 5 cent. I would have probably back in the day misplace something like this. Sorry i was practicing Houdini to balance the coin to take a photo. It's as big as my thumb nail. Also smaller than a dime. Any history on this would be great. Thanks
  23. Hi Mrph12 , the JFM initials are normal. And also is not a DDR. I just went through 20 dollar's of the 2020s. Al your shield cents looks like that when angling your camera. And also when you angle and do a closer look, you can see plate splitting.
  24. Thanks JKK, I was going by that chart also. I must have done it wrong. That can get confusing a bit. Your right, and Moxie15 is right also it has a smooth edge. Like I said, it was mind boggling while researching this coin. But I learned something cool in the past couple of days. Interesting
