  1. I totally Love your coin!!!...I commented before that I had found one EF scratched and had bought one really nice AU 58 or shot 60 so, after seeing your posts I have been searching for this quarter through so much and finally found it with my Planchet errors and clashed dies... Crazy thing, in Texarkana, spelling? Texas I met a dealer who bought a few from a friend who first showed me, I at a later date bought his collection and added to the spitting Eagles I have found over the years. So not to start the argument...this started as a cool cheap thing and to each his own. I own many in various grades and conditions. This is one of AU ones. I like yours also. I'll attempt a better close up pic. Thank you for the Trip I took on this it brings back memories of great times, coins like these to go next to the Gold and Silver ones, I put them together like in their own groups and things, I Love them All!! .......Peace
  2. I have noticed more collectors, YN's and a few people I've worked with getting into this...just yesterday two split some boxes of rolled coins from 4 different banks...maybe there is value financially? Maybe just enjoyment? Very excellent point in how many TPG would recognize...Personally I am excited for new discoveries and enjoy figuring out which is the Rarest...Congrats to all involved!!
  3. Recently traveled back from visiting and was gifted a jar of modern tokens...I'm not really into tokens but I respect them...just sorting through now....the other man's junk thing got me sharing....
  4. I have a few different ones, exactly like one shown here and 2 more, I am searching my stuff ASAP. I sold one a few years back. The best one I have came from a Dealer in Texarkana.
  5. I like yours. This one's mine...milk spots on mine though...
  6. Are there discernible striations (as made) I think I see them in the field? Common on business strikes from Civil War Era but on a Proof I'm not sure.
  7. I have experienced this over the years and remember a costly lesson on hairlines...thanks Mark.
  8. PMD...post mint damage....(after it left the mint it was damaged by environment more than likely)... I'll post a picture of one like yours I have but it has a copper like swirl color from environmental damage, it really through me off when I saw it.
  9. I agree, they are already now. I have only seen a decrease in ask on the minor strike thru errors (where you go looking for this little spot on the obverse usually and can barely see), that said, will the Proofs be affected in price? Which tide will rise how high?
  10. You just reminded me.....I totally forgot....I better look at our larger one too. Thanks man.
  11. I have one of these but the Adam's apple area is different and I can't remember why??? I think it was an over Polished Die that is known or it was something else? I will check for it..... Nice
  12. I hope your coins are well graded and swiftly, safely mailed/delivered to you...I personally would be stressed but what even stresses me more is the Return Mailing...I swear, I just can not sometimes deal with some issues with the USPS, Registered Mail...I could go into detail but being an honestly sincere with the postal people helps. I can't sometimes get over the transit journey our beloved little disks take.....I'm sure we all have those stories. Also I'd like to share...when my coins are held up it changes lifestyle a little bit and what a bummer. (was also thinking what if some coins people had were going to Registry, re-grade or raw...and the entry deadline was missed because of hold ups, etc....Damn..
  13. The picture I posted is an Example of Machine Doubling..Even though it's a 1983 Lincoln Cent it is still just MD, Not the important one. The important one I think is DDR-001 1-R-IV.....I think that is the one you were looking for...My journal Log shows I have other 1983's but they are not DDR's...I might have a picture of one I sold.
  14. My U.S. Submissions have always moved fast...not out of Country but the U.S. Coins, those out number the World Coins by quite a bit every month due to more collectors and the U.S. Mint products being graded, run of the mill stuff, but this last few months World Coin Submissions are important to me this time. Patience is key...Also, being an Elite or Top Tier with NGC helps, in my opinion, along with discounts, especially on large 100 coin order or more there a bulk savings. Also, if you message or call they have ALWAYS taken care of things and explained reasonably. I know its easy to be impatient (myself included) but Patience is key....
  15. I wish I could also, Gets me into trouble then I'm selling duplicates or selling what I thought I'd keep...
  16. I currently have for World Coin Submissions as follows: 1 World Modern NGC received 07/07/21, 1 World Economy received 07/07/21 7 World Modern NGC received 07/28/21, 4 World Economy received 07/28/21 2 World Economy NGC received 08/07/21 Subsequently I have not contacted NGC yet...Majority of Subs are in Grading Quality Control or Encapsulation... Within the past 20 years the opportunity to acquire some truly unique and Rare Coins that were in certain collections was occurring while the Run up in U.S. issues were taking off. Varieties I should mention in this focus, with that also comes the Joy in knowing myself and maybe a dozen others care. Maybe more people are into it now, the Central American and South American Coins, really enjoy learning and searching about and for them... I wanted several of these submissions to be completed earlier but then I also remembered to double check that certain ones were shipped together by my choice, so...with that said...Yes, a couple of mine might be overdue? I have not confirmed that yet. Really excited about the Canadian Coins in there too...1947 1C Both Blunt and Point 7, Should be an Extremely High Grade 1980 Mexico Peso Closed 8 (Mexico Mint), Not sure what will happen with the 1984 Costa Rico Colon....I'll post a Picture or two... Pray everyones alright and stays Healthy.....Covid things stress me out and yeah, you know...
  17. looks Good....Definitely retained Luster that pops out at you....not dull at all, I have a few Raw like that I kept but not as bright luster like as yours.
  18. Thank you for explaining. I get you. I would not Of'Course be cool scamming people and some things have happened to me like that. I was explaining to Kurt about the large amounts of proof sets and silver commemoratives I was part of selling to dealers and directly, at the shows it can move fast and looking back now I realize where it went...telemarketing, mass sales, QVC..I totally relate to the Casino thing as I stay clear of that unless a coin show there, gambling involves loss of money so I don't gamble...But I do struggle with a drink so I imagine we have to understand what those places are in business for (like you wrote above)....peace
