  1. Excuse me if this was posted and I missed it... Will CACG holders will be allowed in the NGC Registry for US coins the same as PCGS? Will they also get extra points like the stickers do? Thanks
  2. Click "Let us know" when you see the rejection
  3. Last coin on list has different score for same type. Thanks,
  4. I would ignore it. If you can't, send it to NGC to reholder it. It's not quick, not cheap, and has no guarantees it will be better than it is now, but I don't see another option really.
  5. I see. I would not assume it was a counterfeit just because of a loose label. You should type the serial number into NGC’s coin verification web page, or scan the barcode with the app, and see what comes up. Chances are that is just a loose label.
  6. How about this a hole selling a 1975 “no s” dime?
  7. Unfortunately I don’t think NGC will do anything about it. I had a holder that bubbled up like a balloon as if I was half way up in the stratosphere. It would take up 3 slots in a storage box. All they said was that they offer their reholder service.
  8. If you follow the submit procedures I’m sure NGC Coin will be happy to certify and grade any coin for you. However, unless you have one of the best 1969S pennies in existence, you will likely pay more for certification then the coin is worth. You are better off submitting those kind of coins in bulk and you might get a better deal. Just my opinion, good luck!
  9. A "competitive coin" is a coin that is in a "competitive set." There are 2 ways to "bulk add": Add a single coin to multiple sets Add multiple coins to a single set In both cases, you should first create the competitive sets you want; then: To add a coin to multiple sets: View "My Competitive Coins" Click on the "Add to Sets" green + A window pops up with your sets and also will suggests sets that coin is eligible for Click all the sets you wish to add it to Click "Add to Set(s)" at the bottom To multiple coins to a single set: View "My Competitive Sets" Click on the set you want to add coins to Click the green "Auto-build Set" button on the right. This adds all your eligible coins with the highest scores into the available slots.
  10. You can do this: log into Collector's Society Goto Collection Manager Click Customize Columns Drag Owners Comments onto the table columns Sort by Owner Comments by clicking on the column title, click it twice to reverse sort You can also search for things, but not "blank" unfortunately
  11. Try going here and clicking Bulk Coin Import. You must first be logged into Collector's Society.
  12. Click "Let us know" when you get the rejection notice. Then wait a few days.
  13. Hello, Not sure if it was intentional, but suddenly 3 new slots appeared on this set: Basic US Type Set, with Gold (7070 + Page 5) The 3 slots are all old $5 gold coins (capped, draped, classic) that people who buy Dansco albums would likely never buy. They were certainly not in the Dasnco album pg. 5. While I'm on the subject, I'd like to offer my vote to remove the T2 G$1 as well, even though NGC had it in the set for a long time. Again, not on pg. 5. Thanks,
  14. Congrats to the winners! I see some great sets out there - I especially like some of the new custom sets.
  15. Someone will see your post and investigate, you did the right thing
  16. I don’t know the answer but it could just be an honest mistake. They happen.
  17. Request another correction: I requested to add this new coin (6315363-045) to this set (https://www.ngccoin.com/registry/competitive/united-states/type-sets/948/). It was added but to the wrong slot - it should be slot 15 not 16. I may have clicked the wrong "+" sign. The coin is clad, not silver so it should be removed from this slot: https://www.ngccoin.com/registry/competitive/united-states/type-sets/948/definition/#215165. I already requested for it to be added to the correct slot. Thanks
  18. Regarding: https://www.ngccoin.com/registry/competitive/united-states/type-sets/947/definition/#49749 One coin is not like the others for type scoring: 2018 S Silver 25C Cumberland-Early Releases Silver Reverse Proof Set PF Actually the 2016-2019 coins do not match the the earlier years in the lower grades, either. Request correction please. Thanks
  19. I hope you can see this link but it is for a "GEM PROOF" graded by NGC, so yes, GEM is used for both MS and Proof by NGC. https://www.ngccoin.com/registry/coins/1459350/
  20. Howdy, Did NGC ever conclude this question? Looking at one of the type scores for Morgan and Peace dollars in one of the 20th Century Type Sets (https://www.ngccoin.com/registry/competitive/united-states/type-sets/215/definition/#8761) it lists "2021 Morgan $1 Advance Releases MS " as eligible for the Low Relief Peace dollar slot, which is obviously wrong since 2021 is not in the 20th Century, and a Morgan $1 is not a Peace $1, but it made me wonder if this issue was decided. For some reason, there are a bunch more "not eligible" coins listed as "eligible" in the the Morgan and Peace dollar slots for 20th Century Type Sets, e.g. (1526-7) ITALY FLORIN FLORENCE FR-276 FRANCESCO MARTELLI MS , (1565-1602) INDIA PAGODA NAYAKAS OF CHITRADURGA MADAKERI NAYAKA - GOLD MS , 1549 FRANCE CAROLU BESANCON MS , AH1255//12 TURKEY S20P MS , and a bunch more. Thanks
  21. "Gem" implies a grade of 65 or better. If it is graded Gem by NGC, it is. If it's "Gem BU" or "Gem Proof" sold raw by a dealer, do not be surprised if you send it in to be graded and it comes back MS62-MS64. If you have PF 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70 graded coins, you have a "Gem Proof" collection. But if you know it's a 67, that's better than just a "gem" since in that case it just implies it as "at least" 65 in uncertain terms.
  22. I hope you mean $10 as was assumed throughout the post - if so, I waste $10 at Starbucks all the time so you got a cheap hole-filler until the real-deal comes along. My opinion: if you are going to buy a classic coin worth over $200, buy it certified or from a brick & mortar store with a return policy.
  23. What do you collect, or want to collect?
  24. A 2 oz coin weighs 2 oz. a piedfort coin is thicker than the non-piedfort version of the same coin, usually twice as thick and twice the weight
