  1. I was at this show today, first time in about 2 or 3 years. Verry large turnout today, things must be looking up. Looked like a lot of buying going on, verry nice show.
  2. I don't quite understand, what are you asking. You get what you pay for. If you don't ask for mint error and pay for it, they don't put it on, simple as that. show the reverse so we can see the rotated reverse.
  3. Hope you do great on the flying eagle; I have one in the same grade from ANACS I bought from Rick Snow many years ago. I often wonder what they might bring now, soon I'll know. Good luck, hope it go's high. mike
  4. If real it is an overdate, and would get a Details grade. But I don't think it's real, looks off.
  5. See below NOW OPENING PACKAGES
  6. I don't think this is real, Fake? Where did you get this? Just doesn't look right. Reverse mint mark and front do not match like coins on coinfacts.
  7. I disagree with you on the turnaround times, they can be adjusted to reflect volumes, and should be at least once a week. It should not say 20 days and then take 4 months.Thats just not a good business model.
  8. I collect tokens to, civil war tokens. This is about the 10th time I sent a submission in and they are normally pretty good about turnaround times, within a few days of estimate. But this time the estimated times are way off. Good luck, hope we both get them soon.
  9. Same problem here, when my submission was delivered to NGC 5/16/23 turnaround time was 26 days. When it was marked received on 5/23/23 turnaround time was 20 days, stayed there for weeks. Then want to 24 days and after a few days want back down to 23 days. I'm a little confused myself. Mine is 34 days or 39 days depending on the date that they use.
  10. Just wanted to know how others are doing with submissions. I'm at 34 days and counting on economy. In NGC's building 5/16/23, Received 5/23/23. I am using their receiving date, use to be that the date in the building was used in turnaround times, so it might be 39 days. I was told yesterday they are just a little behind, I asked why turnaround times are at 23 days, no real answer. How are the rest of You's doing?
  11. I must live under a dark cloud; my economy token submission is at about 30 days. I also have a standard there that was sent in together that was graded about a week and a half ago. I was told they are running behind schedule. so, i can't see my grades till the economy is done, as I asked for them to ship together. Guess I'll just have to wait a little longer. .
  12. On the submission forms there is an add on fee for tokens of 5.00. Is this only if you do not know the catalog number? Do you have to pay this if you record the catalog number on the submission form? Thank you, mike
  13. Thank you, This has been taken care of. You's guys are the best.
  14. Line # 1 of my submission 6523864 is listed wrong, should be listed as OH-975I-1a Miller & Co. This submission is scheduled for grading. Can someone please fix this before shipping. Thank you
  15. 3888362001-VF details. Is there more than one details holder in the census?
  16. Why no details census for civil war tokens, at one time there was one? I have a Fred Behr details token from Detroit, and would like to know how many total NGC has graded. Thank you.
  17. The 1857 flying Eagle cent was clashed with the 25 cent piece, is there clash mark in the fields. this may be the die failing after the clash.
  18. NGC and NCS Announce Revised Services and Fees for 2023 I misread this Announcement and thought it was for grading fee's Thank you for your reply.
  19. Are there new grading prices for 2023, if so when will they be posted? Thank you.
  20. I would like to see other pictures if you can. The details of your coin look to be high AU to UNC. As to you buying an 1856 for 10,000 (that's a whole lot of coin and money) if you do not know coins very well. If you chose to buy something like that, you should contact Rick Snow at Eagle Eye for advice. My vf-35 is a Snow-7 clashed with a twenty-dollar gold piece, much rarer coin. Good luck with your 1857 S-8, I hope it Straight grades for you.
  21. Idhair You seem interested in S-8's, I have a nice little story for you. Back in the mid 80's I was in my mid 20"s and collected flying eagles and indian head cents. This is before the internet and there were very few dealers in my town. The one dealer took me under his wing and taught me about coin collecting and what to look for as to cleaning and damaged coins. I told this dealer that I wanted a MS flying eagle cent. A few weeks later he called me and told me he had something to show me. 1857 MS flying eagle, I bought it for 200.00 and that was a lot of money for me at the time. A few years latter my dealer friend had died, and Rick Snow wrote his first book. As I was looking through the book, I saw the part about the clashed cents. I had thought that my 1857 had a strike thru on the reverse, but it was the S-8 clashed die. I sent it in to ANACS and had it graded, it came back as MS-62 in one of the little white holders. Since then I bought a vf-35 S-7 in a little white holder for a little bit more than the S-8, If you know what I mean.
  22. Pigeonman That coin looks cleaned, but it is a Snow#8 rev.
  23. just wanted to wish you all the best and hope you all and your families are safe the next few days. good luck and be safe, see you when you get back.
  24. You played the game and you lost, move on, move acrossed the street if that makes you happy. Ngc is a fine company and I for one am more than happy with them. Quick turn around times and answers when you ask them, see if you get that acrossed the street!
