  1. I have a custom set that I was trying to get updated before the cut off. Alas, they didn't post grades until a day late. Oh well, now it's time to (im)patiently wait That said I still have several BiC that I know are mine but I am getting the first real competition in quite a while.
  2. I understand your frustration at loosing 1st place. I have a set that I have gone back and forth with 2 other collectors taking turns at 1st place. It's a set that no one is really close to getting to 100%. The pieces that are lacking just don't come up for sale much and when they do the condition can be less than appealing. Fortunately my set has a significant lead for now but that could change in a heartbeat as you know. Here is the set if interested: https://www.ngccoin.com/registry/competitive-sets/196284/
  3. My last 2 submissions had more value than normal for me. Just so happens that at the same time there were several stories in the news regarding the increase in lost packages. I'm not one to usually let this bother me but I was able to drop off my coins to NGC at the Central States show. I plan on doing the same at the upcoming WFOM. I have to admit that I do prefer the face to face interaction over doing it all on line. My last submission was a mix between world coins and tokens/medals. World coins came back in time. The tokens/medals missed the scheduled date by multiple weeks.

  6. Sorry I missed you, Gary. I'm sure I was out walking the floor when you came by. By that point I was broke. My wife mentioned that you stopped by.
  7. Hello. For the set "Copper Five Kopeks, Catherine II, 1763-1796, Circulation Issue" could you add 2 slots? 1765CNM like 2831175-001 1794/3EM like 3712888-032 Thank you
  8. Do you know the overall thickness of this medal? I have several items in my collection in double thick holders. I believe the oversized slabs are available in 3 thicknesses.
  9. NGC sent out an email yesterday afternoon announcing their annual Registry Awards. My set of Wildman Coins won "Most Creative Custom Set". I am absolutely shocked. This is a set that I built simply because I like them and the history around them. It never crossed my mind that I might win something. If interested, the link to the article is below.https://www.ngccoin.com/news/article/9779/2021-ngc-registry-awards/
  10. Were you able to view the lot in person? I know even the big auction houses have trouble catching a coins true appearance at times. At the last ANA/Heritage auction that I was able to attend in person the on-site lot viewing I did completely changed how I was bidding. That said, there are definitely crazy prices in the areas that I collect and it is not often that I can view lots in person prior to bidding. I don't have deep pockets so I have to be picky what I bid on. Going into a big auction I may have 6 items that I am both interested in and feel like I have a chance of obtaining. Out of those, I may only bid seriously on 1 or 2 of them. Attached is my most recent auction win. I ended up paying 4 times the estimate but the estimate was rediculously low. This came from the CNG sale earlier in the week. They actually had videos posted of most of the items in the sale which is important to me. If interested it can be seen here. https://cngcoins.com/photos/CNG_Links/video/CNG_118/1277.html Still not as good as an on site inspection but in my opinion, more informative than a photo.
  11. Do you have an idea when these will be added?
  12. Could we add a set for the 3" US Mint Medals honoring the Codetalkers? Like numbers 2715613-001 thru -026
