  1. Thank you sir! Now guess what? They added proof first day issue to my BU set and retitled it to First day Issue, Complete!!! AHHHHH!!!!! Please see my other post. I swear they are trying to pass the torch! Robert
  2. Hello, I want to know how you can take an existing set that's already been on since 2007 as a First Day BU issue set (President dollars) and now include proof coins from recent graded as First day and add them into the category and retitled it to First Day issue Complete? I collected only BU coins as they are easier to keep in good condition than proof coins. I don't have any proof president dollars. I have been the #1 all NGC Registry set holder and won awards almost yearly, many times on this set. I feel like you are sidelining me through another more adept collector by changing the set composition to include proof coins and find myself scrambling now to acquire these coins to maintain my 1st place status. Also it's not coins (proof) I wanted to have as they are higher maintenance to keep spot free. Proofs should be with Proofs Uncirculated should be with Uncirculated Assign more points as a first day proof as was done with the BU coins Perhaps we can put some BU in a proof set first release sets too, across the board. Ridiculous. PS, Sidelining as the Points value drops first last year, and now the proofs are 3 times a MS67 FDI. I was passed by 2 people, not by their BU first day issues but by their recent 4 to 8 proof coins they added! I am sure glad I went online to see my sets status since I never received any notification of the set change! Thanks, Robert
  3. Hi Mark, Thank you for the reply. It comforts me somewhat since my sets are #1 NGC registry sets. An I believe the First Day Issue higher grades I have will definitely hold value as there will never be First Day Issue grading possible on them EVER. Robert
  4. -17,000+ points on my Satin Dollars #1 set. Been #1 for at least 4 years. Now i feel like its #1 Poop. Robert
  5. The person or group that decided this should be FIRED! Your companies coin management points assignment division waited ten years and at the end of the series to decide this!? There is something fishy going on here. You owe me $10,000.00 for my investment as far as I am concerned. I have that much into the sets and feel you just made the sets worth 1/10th that. People associate points with dollars. Why don't you try this with Morgan Dollars or say Walking Liberty or Franklin Halves. Try dropping their points across the board by 70 to 80% and see what happens! I dare you. I need to rethink my NGC ONLY concept. I do NGC only because I feel you have the best strictist grading. I never dreamed you would drop the points of my coins like this on me. Mr. Robert Clark
  6. I TOO FEEL DUPED! I PUT A LOT OF TIME MONEY AND EFFORT INTO THESE PRESIDENT SETS TO HAVE THE BEST SETS FOR RETIREMENT/INVESTMENT. I NEVER DREAMED POINTS WOULD GO DOWN. ESPECIALLY BY THAT MUCH. USUALLY POINTS GO UP ON COINS OVER TIME. I MEAN, THINK OF THE REACTION IF NGC DID THAT TO SIX MILE RICK OR RHF OR ANY OTHER BIG COLLECTOR ON SAY MORGAN DOLLARS OR WALKERS. THE FEEDBACK FROM THEM AND ALL COLLECTORS OF THOSE COINS WOULD BE VERY HUGE!!! I THINK I NEED TO RE-THINK MY "NGC ONLY" CONCEPT. I REALLY FEEL NGC GRAGING IS TOP NOTCH AND FAIR BUT I IN NO WAY EVER EXPECTED THIS TO HAPPEN. THEY NEED TO FIRE THE GUY THAT DECIDED THIS OR BUY MY PRESIDENT COINS FROM ME FOR ABOUT $10,000.00 THAT WOULD BE FAIR. I GOT THESE SETS AND COINS FOR RETIREMENT INVESTMENT AND WHEN PEOPLE SEE LOW POINTS THEY TEND TO ASSOCIATE THAT WITH VALUE. NOW I FEEL LIKE I GOT RIPPED OFF BY NGC DOING THIS. WHY WAIT TEN YEARS THEN CHANGE IT AS THE SERIES IS ENDING. I AM REALLY REALLY PISSED OFF ABOUT THIS!!! ROBERT
  7. Hello, I too have collected right alongside with Walnutto. In fact even competed with each other at times bidding for rare coins in these President dollar categories. The points should stay as they are and in fact i know some coins that should be put in even higher amounts due to the rarity. I love all the coins and I take pride in the sets, so seeing any degradation in points feels like degradation in value for the sets. I have a lot $$$ into these sets and the idea was for retirement investment. I hoped to at least triple my investment 20 years down the road. If the points reflect a value or symbolizes the rarity, then it looks like not very rare to the end users eye as far as NGC is concerned and thus the value wont rise. That, my friends is my only worry. If anything, points go up on coins over time, not down, typically. Robert
