This is one I just picked up for my set
-
very nice welcome
-
I like the wood grain
-
all nice just goes to show that you don't have to be gold or silver to be worth the effort to save
-
Another 22D with a gold CAC this one is very early in the die life
-
I know that I have shown this before, but the more that I look at it the more I like it. It has to be my favorite Lincoln. The photo shows a green sticker but it now has a gold CAC now both my d and no D are gold
-
Both of us!!!
-
Very nice Chris, and I agree with you. Here is mine by the way all high grade 14's are tough
While we are looking at 1914 I might as well include this one again

Here is one I don't think I have ever shown here 65 red CAC
-
I thought ya'll might like my 1917 ms66 rb CAC
-
That exception is acceptiable
-
I thought it was undergraded myself and if it were mine I know where it would go

Thanks Wheat, it is a tough year by percentage although I do not know how 1933 year ranks with other years in the Lincoln series. I have MS66RD for both the P and D mints and both of mine are CAC'd. Looking at the data (I know this is not truly accurate as the pop reports are off but it the best we have to go on) 8% of the MS66 population of PCGS and NGC (includes plus grades) is CAC approved and 9% of the MS67 population for the P mint coins. While 6% of the MS66 population and 4% of the MS67 population is CAC approved for the D mint coins.
Those percentages are likely low as I am guessing the pops are wrong but maybe not by too much.
Both my p and d are CAC but it took about 3 tries (different coins each time)on both to get it. Your % s are probably close. That 22 d I posted is the one that got the gold bean.

Very nice Chris for some that year is very hard to get a CAC and so is the D mint.

Here's the reverse of a 22-D I used to own:
You can find several stages of this die break and can watch it progress, it first shows on the left top and progresses until the die falls apart. Make a great display.

I just got this one back from CAC for a reconsideration and it got a Gold bean. It has got the strongest strike I have ever seen in a 22d. It has to be very early in the die life it is a 64 rb by the way
-
Thanks Lance, I have a 63 rb CAC that this upgraded. Most non Lincoln folks don't realize just how hard this coin is to find in higher grades and even harder with a CAC sticker. When you do find one you have to pay out the nose to get it.

Can't really tell by photos but I would say 65 rb and would question whether the dark toning is terminal .
