I recently added this ancient to my collection. Interesting histories if the coins could talk. This is the oldest coin in my collection. Dated hundreds of years before the time of Christ. This coin dates from 323-317 BC from the Kingdom of Macedon during King Phillip III reign. He was an elder half brother of Alexander The Great. The front of the coin depicts Heracles who was a divine hero in Greek mythology and later known by the Romans as Hercules. He is the son of Zeus. The reverse of the coin depicts Zeus holding an eagle. Zeus is the sky and thunder god in ancient Greek religion, who rules as the king of gods of Mt Olympus'

I have collected raw coins since childhood. When I started to get serious about collecting I went to slabbed coins to better protect my investment. Still like buying raw coins but I have been burned before
