I put my lower grade Morgans up for sale.
Friends, The year has been a rough one for us and I hope everyone is starting to feel the relief that I am finally comforted with. I checked out Heritage auction for next month, a lot of sweet coins are now out there for our sets. I went broke on the list that I wanted and then I threw it in the trash.
I have been working regular this month so everything seems pretty good for now, a nice contract would put a boost in my collection, or a sale of the lower grades that my set has surpassed would pay for a few upgrades. We always try to find a way to add a "JUST ONE MORE HONEY" coin.
While trying to sell the lower graded morgans it surprised me as a collector just how many people out there that collect coins and do not know or have a grading service. I have talked to a few people that have spent up to $50,000 and more with nothing slabbed. I bet the dealers love those people. No I didn't sell, and won't sell my coins at 60% which is what some are offering. To me it is a collection to own and upgrade. With 116 coins I still need 50 so I realy don't care if the low valued coins don't sell, they still fill slots.
I have enjoyed most of the journals through the year and wanted to take the time to thank all of you that contribute.
HAPPY COIN COLLECTING
