Beautiful coin...and seeing George donning his helmet reminds of his personal story as a Roman soldier, and his demise at the hands of Emperor Diocletian!

There is lots of Roman imagery in British coins.

And there are close to 300 types of Roman Coinage listed as types in the British Standard Coinage catalogue.
