KEY Dat Liberty Nickel defect??

Is this a mint defect or something else...the coin still graded but...

I bought this guy online and sent it in. It graded, but is much nicer than an AU58. There is a lamination of something on the front (may be able to see in the scans), other than that, the coin is 64/65...I am not a Nickel guy, what are your thoughts please? Mike
