More ANACS coins jump off the ledge. Breaking Out-Part 7

Sent these coins in 2 weeks after the coins in my last journal (part 6) and they come back 2 days after them.

1.- 1950 Ire.1 penny NNC-MS64 RB came back a NGC-MS62 BN, I'll take that as I was thinking it could come back in a body bag. It looked like there was a film of oil on it. 2. - 1948 Ire. 3 pence ANACS-62 came back as a NGC- AU58, Ouch, that hurt. The 3 pence is the hardest coin to grade due to its small size and fine detail but I think they got this wrong. I was thinking it could go up to a 63. Oh well, that's the chance you take with break outs instead of cross overs. 3. 1928 Ire. 6 pence ANACS-MS65 came back the same. Long story. In the early 90's I purchased this as part of a proof set from Whitford auctions. I sent them all (8) in and all came back high grade proofs but for this one. I call ANACS and asked about it and they said they'd take another look at it for the S&H charge. It came back still a mint state coin. The set was in its orig. case with the coppers still red and no finger prints or spots, like it had never been opened, it was that nice. It has semi- prooflike fields and great detail but a little cartwheel luster can be seen. I think thats what they see and say it has to be a Mint state coin. You know what, if both services say it's MS I guess it has to be. I just don't see why anybody would take out the 6 pence proof coin and trade it and replace it with a MS. You'd think they'd take the 1/2 crown, which is a ANACS PF-67. 4. 1958 Ire. 6 pence ANACS-MS64 now a NGC-MS65. Nice 1 point jump. 5. 1939 Ire. shilling ANACS-MS63 now a NGC-MS64. Another nice 1 point jump. It could have jumped 2 or 3 points if they would grade on toning. Both sides have white centers with cresents of blue and gold along the rims. I'll take what they gave me but that 3 pence really hurt. I'm getting ready to send another 1928 Irish proof set in along with 4 break outs. I'll let you know what the turn out is when they come back (part-8). After that I may do a few cross overs, to protect the high grades they have now, just to see what happens. Till then, Best2u.
