My local coin dealer called them....

Garbage. Thats what a local coin dealer called one of my favorite coins. Yes, thats right he said that the American Silver Eagles are garbage.

Now, I know there are a lot of very nice and ugly (in my eyes) coins out there, but I was told to "collect what you like!" and ASEs are what I like. I know they are modern but, I am new to collecting and it is what caught my eye. After telling me that, the dealer then proceeded to pull out some very nice seated liberties and trade dollars. I know one day I would like to own some of these but for now I will stick with what "I" like!!
