Just are sorry as you are to post this, so we are sorry to learn this. My prayers will be with you and your family during this difficult time. Life has an uncanny way of putting the skids on passion. It seems that passion is closely linked to life. Your passion for collecting the coins of interest to you is extraordinary. You wore this passion on your sleeve every time you posted a new acquisition for your collection. You are truly an ambassador to numismatics whose passion was contagious. Since you focused on quality in your collection, my hope is that the new renters of your numismatic treasures will pay top dollar for them. Interestingly, I always considered myself as a steward of the coins in my possession to preserve them for the next generation of collectors who I hope will have the same passion for them as I do.

I love our hobby but as in all things there is a time to let them go.

I read your awful news a couple of hours ago and, to be quite honest, I'm a bit lost for words.

I have admired your collection for some time as well as your passion for quality. As a collector of British coins, I know how unique some of them are. 

I can only hope that whoever acquires your pieces will have the same appreciation for them as you do.

Please know that my thoughts are with you and your family.

There is a time to indulge your interests and passions. One of ours is our great hobby. I hope that future owners of many of these great pieces will enjoy them as much as I have.

I too am sorry to read this post as I revealed my own serious illness just a few days ago.  I don't know RMW, but I feel your pain in many ways.  I am sorry that We may no longer enjoy the fabulous posts and tremendous knowledge that RMW showed.  My SINCERE heart and prayers to you my fellow member.   I really hope that treatment stops and reverses the ills that you have.

it is my sincere hope that you will be able to beat your illness and continue to enjoy our hobby.  But if it is not to be, you have acted as a steward to history for future generations to learn and enjoy in their own way. And that should give you some satisfaction.

It must be difficult to discuss your health concerns with others and I hope that sharing in this venue, with like minded souls that share your enthusiasm for coin collection, brings you some measure of consolation.  I sincerely wish that you have the time to bring all your affairs to a satisfying conclusion, of which the disposition of your impressive collection will be just one.  You may want to talk to NGC about how to get your pedigree onto the labels for your collection.  Wouldn't that be a great way to commemorate your special participation in this hobby?

I am very sorry to read your post, and I am finding it difficult to put my thoughts to words (and, as you know, I can really say a lot when I put my mind to it).

I have barely come to know you - of course - since I am a relative newcomer to the Registry and these Journals. Even so, I have come to look forward to seeing your presence here.  I hope you don't mind my saying that I find your enthusiasm, numismatic and otherwise, contagious.  

Understandably, you need to focus now on what is most important.

Yes, this 1746 British Proof Halfcrown ( NGC PR 66 Star) is perhaps my favourite piece but will soon go with the others.
