Agree! But they would look nice in a blank album page at the end of your collection. I may pick up the Peace Dollar - just for the heck of it.

I agree as well. Their specifications are not the same and they are all being minted in Philadephie. The one thing that does attract me the most though is the pure (.999) silver versus the 90% of the original.

Worthless is a bit strong. They are silver, but, past some initial hype and interest, I doubt they'll give anyone a profit.

100,000,000 or more --- you are right  SILVER --  worth their weight in metal value and nothing more. now or in the future.

Worth it's weight in silver. Would be nice to see in high relief outside of a slab. Sometimes it worth a bit more to the individual based upon whether you like the design - not monetarily, but for its beauty.  

I don't care.... I'd like a modern Morgan and Peace dollar for my collection. Even if it's a little pricey.

I'm with you, lots of complaints, but in the end I'll pony up for the "CC" privy and the Peace Dollar. They are, after all, nice bookends for my complete Morgan "CC" collection and my currently owned MS-65 1921 Morgan and MS-62 1921 Peace Dollar.

Nice for my ms65 peace set to have a modern none junk producer peace dollar. 

I agree with what's been said so far.  He meant marks on the reverse from New Orleans and Carson City, with a faux Mint Marks, look silly.  But, worthless?  No.  They will always be worth the price of the silver bullion from which they were made.

PS for Chrisinjesup from a prior posting thread,  I am a surgeon and worked at both the VA Directly and through the University of California.  If had the privilege of training many active duty military surgeons.  I fully support that only the care of our active duty troops but more importantly the critical physical and mental health care responsibility that our country owes to the veterans who have served and returned.  Veterans should have the opportunity to get care in the private sector if it's better but this should not be used as some money graft by the private sector to once again abuse our veterans.

I was checking out the forum ATS and it seems people have about gone wild over this 21 Peace and 21 Morgan.  I sure hope it doesn't turn out like the Old San Francisco Dollar.  And the US Mint no longer enjoys a reputation of getting things right.  .

The Morgan and Peace that is being offered I think will be about the same. Like the coin you mention, these are just commemorative types. I just want one of each (1 Morgan & 1 Peace) for my collection.

Unless the Mint sets a very low mintage limit, it’s usually better to wait a while.  The V75 silver eagles had a low mintage limit and have held their value so far.  Most everything else with limits over 100,000 drops in value not long after issue.  In many cases you can get a NGC 70 for less than the Mint’s original issue price if you’re patient.  I’ll wait a while on these coins.

2021 Morgan and 2021 Peace silver dollars may become annual series

United States Mint officials are giving serious consideration to make the 2021 Morgan and 2021 Peace silver dollars the first coins of an ongoing annual series.

Mint Director David J. Ryder raised that possibility during a May 4 Microsoft Teams video conference with numismatic journalists.

The enabling legislation, the 1921 Silver Dollar Coin Anniversary Act, Public Law 116-286, grants the Mint authority to issue additional Morgan and Peace dollars dated 2022 and beyond as an ongoing series.

Ryder said, during the online meeting with numismatic journalists, that he favors the continuation of the series beyond just 2021. Finalization of such a decision will be determined, Ryder said, based on demand for the 2021 releases.

Anyone sense a rerun of the State Quarters type program.  Every year a new Morgan and a New Peace Dollar.

Collecting peacevdollars my old won't let me not get one and get it graded but I'd have preferred today's technology using yesterday's metals, a new 90% full sized 2021 set to have a glimpse of what people saw when they first arrived.
