The close end of 2020

A different time for most of us. As I lost my wife a year ago I stop in once in a while to check up on all of you collectors.

Collecting for me left my mind when my wife passed. I have started a few new small businesses to keep my mind busy and

seem to have no extra time to indulge in bidding for coins to add to my sets. Taking a little time to check ranks

on some sets this morning. Good Luck to those that have worked so hard on their collection for the awards this year.

Happy Coin Collecting!!

Rick

If you truly enjoyed collecting - it will find its way back to you. It's been quite a year and keeping busy is a good way to go considering. When the time is right - it will be nice to have you back on a regular basis.

 What new businesses?

Sorry to hear about your wife. 2020 has been hard enough without dealing with that loss. Coins are just a pleasant distraction, people you are close to are what really matters.  I hope 2021 will be a better year for all of us.

Again, I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. We all deal with this stuff in our own ways. I can't imagine having lost a life partner heading into this year, when person-to-person contact has been at a premium for many of us. I really poured myself into my Zimbabwe note set in 2019 because work was slow and I needed something to focus on that was more positive with Sam's birth. It sounds like you've chosen to focus on a new business, which is / can be good and positive and constructive.I know my wife is the first person I usually talk to about my collections and new purchases I could see that becoming bittersweet and having pangs associated with it if I lost her / that aspect of it.

Keep trucking, man. Maybe you'll find your way back to it and find joy in this again after some time.

Hang in there, Buddy.

I hope your businesses do well. Coins will be here when you get ready to come back to them. In the mean time, keep in touch.

I'm sorry for your loss, and I understand the ebbs and flows of life that change our focus from what's important to what's more important. What I do know is that I miss you around here. Times change and I'm not around like I used to be. It has always been the good people here that keep me coming back. The coins are a common link in our relationships but are not necessary to the friendships forged here. Rick, for lack of a better term, you're what I consider, "good people." All the best. Gary

I am sorry to hear about your wife. That is a tough one. Keeping busy seems to be one of things that keeps us going and dealing with the pain. I haven't been on much this year but did notice you hadn't been posting much. I thought it was one of the those phases we all go through. I only met you once in Asheville but you treated me fairly when you sold some coins for me and I always appreciated it. Hang in there buddy things will get better. There will always be a hole in your heart where your wife used to be but it will grow smaller. Take care of yourself and your son.  Best wishes  Ron
