I don't have a problem with eBay.  I don't think I will ever have a problem with eBay.  The majority of complaints I have heard concern PayPal. (There is an unwritten rule somewhere that states PayPal is indispensible and above reproach and criticism. Nonsense!)

If eBay implements that proposed rule change, like you, I would have to consider any other available options.

No... I disagree there. There are plenty in the US that hate Paypal, which is why, i think, we now have Square, Venmo, Zelle, and a few others. I only really us PayPal for eBay and one or two other things and increasingly use Zelle and Venmo.

I'm right there with you (95% collectibles), except I had %2 fashion. What!? I cannot for the life of me remember what that purchase was.

My eBay purchasing profile is very similar to yours except that I had a higher percentage in the electronics category.  I sincerely hope they don't make that change since the vast majority of my collection has been acquired through eBay.  I've had a few disappointing purchases, but there have been many more winners than losers.

I don't think it'll happen. I think it was just some people reading into a rule change. But I suppose it is possible.

In my mind, I am thinking this may be a game changer.  I have not checked out eBay listings in some time. Thank you for bringing this to everyone's attention.

In my case I expect coins are much much less than a quarter of purchases - here in the UK Ebay seems to be the main/only source for the various bits and pieces you can no longer get in the shops, such as a new heating element for the oven and some fence posts!

Some things you can also get on Amazon but they are usually more expensive - so Amazon totals one purchase in the last few years and that was a book.

Well it looks like sellers will not be able to list there coins on ebay if they are going to used time payments in there listings for the coins there going to list.

IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT EBAY IS GOING TO STOP THE SALE OF COIN'S.....You just going to pay in full at the time of sale.

My circle came out looking like that too.  I remember having to visit the college library to use the internet so I could place a bid on a set of bicycle front fork shocks back in 2000, then having to get a postal money order made up to send to the seller to pay.  It wasn't until about 2005 that my buying shifted almost entirely to coins and bullion.
