About this journal
After reading Jackson64's journal entry, I realized that I had fallen away from the hobby quite a bit. There used to be lively conversations, discussions, and occasional arguments but it was good reading and often quite educational. I first began this odyssey by joining the PCGS club. I lurked on their boards for a number of years and even established a friendship with some of those guys. The partisan bickering and arguing about PCGS vsNGC drove me away. It reminds me so much of the political atmosphere today. In any case, I joined NGC and really enjoyed the camaraderie here. As I check in from time to time now I only see a few familiar names and very little discussion. I was really pleased to see that Bill Jones and Mark Feld were continuing to share their vast wealth of knowledge with everyone. Two finer gentlemen would be difficult to find. I don't know if the change is because NGC decided to quit accepting pcgs coins in their registry or what but traffic has really decreased. Thanks to Jackson for once again posting in an elegant manner about his perspective and changing collecting habits. Food for thought.
