Friends,

 As of first ---- 15 years ago or so we had a FRIENDS list available on our member home page.  A few years ago the FRIENDS were changed to FOLLOWERS by the NGC group. 

 Now there is not even a followers list on our home page.  Is this Followers list coming back?? Seems the club is moving more and more towards unsocial practices.

Use to be a member could post their journal from their private member page. Now they have to go to Chat Boards to do so. I don't mind it but I know that many members do not use the chat boards. Will there be a link later to post journals from the member page?

New Sales Option

Seems to be a nice new addition Friends and Society, Up till this week I have had many sets for sale or trade. As usual when someone gets tired of a set they have had for a while the trade option works very well (coins for coins). This also works well when others do not have the funds available to add to their sets. I did 2 trades this week that were a little different option and worked very well. Thinking of selling your SILVER or GOLD SCRAP soon.

No sun for pics today

Went for the lights Friends and Society, As I planned to work on pics today and was left with a cloudy day I kept looking for other options. I did come up with a cooler and lights directed into it. Lets see what came of it as I am just checking the pics on a 1926 MS65 Peace Dollar. The rev is white with a wide luster band around 50% behind the eagle that is hard to get a good pic on. Access Denied!!

Well I expected it. Some people just can't handle the truth or do not want to be bothered by it. Well there it is. Another journal reply that I got booted off of. That is two for the life of membership and 2 for this month. Ah well it's all good and there really was not a deal to be had anyway. Precious Metals

Are they crashing?? Wow I see that gold is going below $1600 an oz. tomorrow and silver is perching at $29.00. Did they find a few good mines or is the value of our dollar really worth something again?? Sometimes it is hard to keep up with all the bureaucracy involved to come to such conclusions. A great week to purchase a bunch of dimes

AND FINALLY!! A MACRO-LENS FOR THE CAMERA Friends and Society, I purchased a top rank proof set (1999) from Todd Peters sets that I had for sale on my page a couple weeks ago. I did not have enough money so he let me pay when I could. I finally got a nice check for a house I am building with my son so the debt will be paid this week. Local Coin Show this weekend

Breaking Up

A week for breaking up sets. Friends and Society, It has been another good week with plenty of work and of course a few coin deals in the works. I sold a Franklin MS64FBL, 2000 millennium Silver Eagle, and a Ike Dollar. Worked up a $1000 trade of three Mocom Silver Dollars for three Silver Eagles so the Eagle set will be broken up now and the Mocom set will grow. As W.K.F says it----A MESSAGE FROM THE GODS!!!!!!

What a conversation I had TODAY!!! Friends and Society-- The day started off regular----No work so I hung out at a friends business looking for remodel jobs that may come up. I got a small one where a 150' barn wall was falling and 50' of roof was on the ground. I took my tractor and truck full of tools and got the girl standing with most of a ridge look. Tomorrow I will build a temporary wall inside the barn and fix the broken trusses to re construct the block wall that has fallen.

Re BUY BUY BUY

Words of wisdom MV, I agree with you totally which is why 60% of my coins are pre 1965 and many coins are from 1800s. Of which most have gone up in value and a few have stayed. I do collect some moderns but I try to get the best grade. If you really like a modern series you can get good prices in 69s but when 2000 more grade at 69 well, the price drops. So enjoy collecting them and expect the value to drop. It is not about the money you spend. Its about the money you buy. It is coin collecting

Selling Full proof sets is tough

I have decided to take a easier rout Friends, I have been trying to sell proof sets for two weeks now.1999 to 2009 all NGC pf70UC. I got offers for separate coins but no full set offers. I finally broke down and listed the sets for cherry pickers in the chats money-market. Any coin for the proof sets now 30% off until Friday which is when I will be at the coin show and hopefully sell or trade all of them. Get the hard ones before they are gone.
